- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH AR PART 10 ONLY. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime in OH seeks the availability of potential sources/vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to furnish the following National Stock Number's (NSN) in accordance with their specific North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. These NSNs are being bought to drawings and specifications. First Article Testing is required for the two NSNs. •· NSN: 2510-01-549-8651 Nomenclature: WINDOW, VEHICULAR NAICS: 336390 ADQ: 22 •· NSN: 2541-01-289-2233 Nomenclature: ARMOR, TRANSPARENT, V NAICS: 336211 ADQ: 1,095 Sources interested in proposing an offer for these two items on the solicitation should complete the attached survey and return to the buyer at Brandi.Scott@dla.mil. As this is only a request for information, companies may respond via email only to Brandi.Scott@dla.mil. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are Not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The RFI is for market research purposes only. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of its response to the market survey. Any information provided is voluntarily. A dummy solicitation has been created for this market research effort for companies to be able to review the drawings. The dummy solicitation number is SPE7MX17R0122. To access the technical data, refer to the Tech Data Tab at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. This system contains Bidsets, Engineering Data Lists (EDLs) and digitized drawings for open BSM-DIBBS procurements after 10/1/2006. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this sources sought including, commercial market information. Questions will not be entertained at this time. Respond only to the requested information and questions 1-10 below. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), HUBZone, 8 (a), small, small disadvantage, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to the NAICS listed above, All other miscellaneous manufacturing. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. 1) Is your business large or small? 2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? 3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8 (a) of the Small Business Act? 4) Is your firm a certified HUBZone firm? 5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? 6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business? 7) Would allowing pricing for shipment to different location "ZONES" have any effect on the pricing your company can offer? Should the Government include "ZONES" in the solicitation? There will be two (2) ZONES; an East Coast and West Coast Zone. 8) Include the DUNS number and Cage Code of your firm. 9) Is your firm registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov 10) If not, please register. NOTE: No award can be made to a contractor who is not registered in SAM.
