- The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Durham VA Medical Center, located at 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina will be soliciting offers for The Durham VA Medical Center s #1, 2 & # 3 Boilers 500 HP which requires Burner Performance Evaluation Tune-up and Inspection, Testing and Calibration of Boiler Safety Devices Services. This performance scope of work is designed to have the contractor complete work in accordance with VHA Directive: Boiler Plant Operations, VHA Boiler Plant Safety Device Testing Manual 3rd Edition and VA Master Specification Section: 23 09 11, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL FOR BOILER PLANT and SECTION 23 52 39 FIRE-TUBE BOILERS. A request for Quote (RFQ) VA246-17-Q-1933 is being amended on or about September 28, 2017. The Closing date for quotes have now changed from 28 September 2017 at 15:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time(EST) to 5 October 2017 at 3:00 p.m. EST. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. The period of performance is October 15, 2017 (or date of award) through September 30,2018 or the base period, with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the offer submission process. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award; contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov. The applicable NAICS Code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Services with a Small Business Size Standard of $15 million. The classification code is J044. The solicitation will be issued as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) set-aside. All offerors are responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website without further notification from the Contracting Officer.
