Description
RFP Amendment 0001 Original Posted Date: August 17, 2017Description: The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Procurement Operations, Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division, intends to procure, under a 100% HUBZone small business set-aside, armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at the following facilities in Washington, DC: 810 7th St. NW Washington, DC (DC0382) 801 I St. NW Washington, DC (DC0367) 717 14th St. NW Washington, DC (DC0302) This requirement is being solicited as a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR 15. It is anticipated that a single award, firm-fixed price hourly rate, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract will be issued as a result of the solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561612, Security Guard and Patrol Services. The size standard for NAICS 561612 is $20.5 million. The overall period of performance will consist of five (5), twelve (12) month ordering periods with an additional six month optional ordering period pursuant to FAR 52.217-8. The Request for Proposals (RFP) shall require the submission of a technical and price proposal. It is anticipated that the solicitation, RFP # HSHQEC-17-R-00009, will be released to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about August 31, 2017. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (http://www.sam.gov) prior to the submission of their proposals. Please note that the FedBizOpps staff is not authorized to determine the classification code for any FedBizOpps notice. A misclassified contract action fails to notify the firms most likely to respond and therefore may violate the Competition and Contracting Act, the Contracting Officer is held responsible for correctly classifying a FedBizOpps notice.
