Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. The United States Army, Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) is seeking information regarding Micro-Radar Technologies and Sensors. The intent of this RFI is to gather information on sensors and technologies that enable Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and/or Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) radar modes for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs). Integrating radars on small UASs is a challenge due to the size, weight, and power restrictions on platforms. Sensors weighing less than 10 lbs are of interest. Responders are requested to provide: 1. Description of the developed technology/sensor including: a. Maturity (TRL level) b. Size, Weight, and Power c. Frequency of operation d. Waveform Type e. Unique Processing Techniques (i.e. clutter cancellation, false alarm mitigation) f. Expected or Measured Performance Data i. Resolution ii. Detection Range iii. Coverage Areas/Rates iv. Multiplicative Noise Ratio (MNR) v. Probability of Detection vi. False Alarm Rate vii. Target Location Accuracy 2. Description of experience in development of small SAR/GMTI radar sensors detection technologies and systems. 3. Availability of previously collected radar data. Electronic inputs are requested within 45 days of this announcement to usarmy.apg.rdecom-cerdec.mbx.i2wd-radar-rfi@mail.mil. If classified submission is required, request access procedures through the e-mail address above. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The Government does not intend to pay for this information.
