********Update as of 3 October 2017 from original post on 19 June 2017 ******** This is a SPECIAL NOTICE to announce an INDUSTRY DAY in support of the ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY program. The INDUSTRY DAY will be held on 18 October 2017. The purpose of this event is to allow the Government the opportunity to provide to interested construction contractors an overview of the unique requirements for upcoming projects at Arlington National Cemetery with US Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the acquisition strategy. This forum will also provide a valuable opportunity for the government to obtain feedback and address specific questions from companies relating to the planned projects in support of the Arlington National Cemetery. The locations for this event will be held at: Key Bridge Marriott Capital View Ballroom on 14th floor 1401 Lee Highway Arlington, VA 22209 703-524-6400 Timeline: 12:00 PM - Doors Open 1:00 PM - 1:45PM- Presentations from USACE/ANC 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Small Group Discussions At 12:00 PM doors will open to allow participants to meet and greet members of the Norfolk District/Arlington National Cemetery team. At this time, participants may also identify if they wish to attend small group discussions with Norfolk District/Arlington National Cemetery Representatives that will be following immediately after presentations. The Small Group Discussion will be first come first serve. In order to attend participants must nominate themselves on the easels that are staged in the conference room. At 1:00 PM, the presentation will start with introductions and an overview of the ANC program from Senior Leaders at Arlington National Cemetery. Following the Arlington National Cemetery program presentation, representatives from the Norfolk District will present an outline of projects planned for cemetery expansion, restoration of historic monuments and features, roadway repairs and reconstruction, administrative building renovations, utility infrastructure renovation and construction, and civil/site renovations. The overview will cover those identified projects for fiscal years FY2018 through FY2022. At 2:00 PM, we will breakout into small groups for one-on-one discussion. During this forum, the Government will solicit feedback from industry on any topics industry believe are important considerations to ensure successful execution of the Arlington National Cemetery Program. As of right now, there are no limits on who can attend the event, however, we do ask that only two representatives from each company attend. If space become limited, a modification will be done to this notice. All interested parties wishing to attend the Industry Day must submit their intent to attend via e-mail to Jonathan.l.parrish@usace.army.mil no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on 12 October 2017 with the names, affiliations, phone and return e-mail address. Upon receipt of the email, Mr. Parrish will send a confirmation response email. PLEASE NOTE: If you have already contacted Mr. Parrish on the initial announcement, no need to contact him again. You have already been rolled over to the current list. There are no seat limits on who can attend. Norfolk District is already tracking you information and have you down to attend. No later than 6 October 2017, email confirmation will go out to everyone confirming your attendance.
