- Page 1 of 2 SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NAICS 221310. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. All interested firms shall provide the following information: Company name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone number, Email address, Capability statement, Business size, DUNS and GSA contract (if any) pursuant to the NAICS code 221310. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to jeneice.mcclinton@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Statement of Work The Contractor shall provide all equipment and services for deionized water (conditioning water) with a minimum of two (2) megohn resistivity and meet or exceed section 3.2 of the AAMI standards at the Department of Veterans Affairs Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas, 77030-4298. The Contractor will provide, at no additional charge to the MEDVAMC the following system and services: 24 hour, seven days a week with a 4hour response time Laboratory water testing as required minimum of one per year. Not included: Sanitation of complete system as required by chemistry, laboratory, or plumbing departments Sanitation of system after any additional plumbing changes. The Contractor shall consult with plumbing and/or other personnel as required The Contractor shall maintain all water treatment equipment which includes replacement of all consumables, repairs and service. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of one service call per week to check system operation and provide a report of same. The Contractor shall provide updates to the system as required and provide water that meets and/or exceeds the AAMI standards for laboratories. The Contractor shall provide a system comprised of the following equipment: Automatic10 micron filtration system Exchangeable type carbon filters that allow greater than seven (7) minutes of contact time to insure removal of chlorine Reverse osmosis system to provide greater than 7000 gallons of treated water per day unit to be supplied with TDS meter, elapsed time meter, totalizing meter, audiovisual alarm Automatic shut down on low pressure, product line dump valve, product and waste flow indicators, and all required pressure gauges. Two (2) 14" mixed bed, portable exchange type, Di tanks for polishing prior to storage. 2000 gallon, plastic storage tank with IDG hi low, low, and low/low level controls Two (2) 30 GPM 316l stainless steel pumps to provide required flow to chemistry lab floor Two (2) 50 GPM 316l stainless steel pumps to Supply "on demand" water supply to sterilizer! Washer room Three (3) 14: portable exchange type, mixed bed, DI tanks for final polishing. Two (2) 30 gpm ultraviolet lights for post treatment for bacteria control The Contractor shall provide bypass water in case of system failure. The Contractor shall provide and maintain two (2) sub-micron filter housings, 316 sis construction, each holding four (4) 0.2 micron, 20" 222-seal cartridges. The Contractor shall replace all eight (8) filters annually at no additional charge. The Contractor shall cooperate in the transition from the incumbent contractor to the new contractor. HOURS OF DELIVERY: A. Normal hours of delivery are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. All deliveries shall be performed during normal hours unless requested or approved by COR or his designee.
