- Page 2 of 3 This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources, (small and other than small) to accomplish ASME A17 Elevator Inspections. NOTE: Interested parties should be register in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. SAM registration can be accomplished by accessing the internet at www.sam.gov or by calling 1-866-606-8220. Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS Code: 541350 and sized standard is $7.5M. If another NAICS may be more suitable for the elevator inspection requirement, please include the code with your response. Project Requirements: To accomplish ASME A17 Elevator Inspections and on call inspection service task orders at six VA Medical Centers located in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky and Memphis, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Mt Home, Tennessee. Anticipated Period of Performance: December 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018. The VA is contemplating making this requirement a base year with four option year contract. Information Sought: Response to this announcement shall not exceed 10 pages and should include the following information: A tailored capability statement indicating the firm s ability to provide the services required in the Description of Service Section. Include any certifications/qualifications or other information to substantiate the firm's ability to accomplish ASME A17 Elevator Inspections. Include examples of past performance accomplishing ASME A17 Elevator Inspections. The respondents DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, small, etc,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; Information should be provided electronically in one file in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format. Please e-mail your response with the above information to david.milner@va.gov with the subject line "Sources Sought, ASME A17 Elevator Inspections/your company name" by 4:00 P.M. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE/ WORK STATEMENT The inspections are required at six separate VA medical centers located in Tennessee (Nashville, Murfreesboro, Mtn Home, and Memphis) and Kentucky (Lexington and Louisville). The total number of elevators involved is approximately 140 Passenger and Freight-Hydraulic, Passenger and Service Traction, Dumb Waiter, and Wheelchair lifts. Elevator Brands and major components include but limited to: Motion Control Engineering, ThyssenKrupp, Dover, Garaventa, Matot, Montgomery Kone, Smartrise, Otis, Atlas, Montgomery, United, FUTRAT, Canton, and Esco. Types of inspections include semi-annual, annual, and five year safety test. In addition, an on call inspection service task order option for each contract year for ASME 17.2 acceptance inspection services will be required for any elevator that may have been modified, damaged and repaired, installed and requires a third party inspection.
