Description
In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations part 5.201, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration Office (DOL/ETA) hereby issues this notice of intent for a six-month sole source procurement. DOL/ETA intends to award a six-month sole source contract (with one, six month option) to Adams and Associates for the continued operation of the Atterbury Job Corps Center located at 1025A Hospital Road, Edinburgh, IN 46124. The NAICS for this requirement is 611519. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program designed to prepare low-income youth to obtain and hold gainful employment or pursue further education or training. The contractor shall operate the aforementioned Job Corps center, which includes provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated total of 510 students; the main campus of the Atterbury Center has a capacity of 260 residential male students, 150 residential female students and 0 non-residential students. The Indypendence Center has a capacity of 100 non-residential female students. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to residential students as applicable. The contractor shall provide Outreach and Admissions services in the state of Indiana and shall ensure the arrival of a minimum of 300 students into the Job Corps program annually for resident male students, resident female students, and non-residential female students (IndyPendence Center). The program shall be operated by a contractor for the U.S. Department of Labor in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act of 2014, Job Corps regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook. The anticipated Period of Performance is: Period of Performance: December 1, 2017, through May 30, 2018, with one, six month option. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated.
