- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Reference Number 140A0418Q0001 This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote or Invitation for Bid. This does not constitute a solicitation and shall NOT be construed as a commitment by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is seeking sources to provide heavy duty wildland fire vehicles to be used in the support of prescribed and wildland fire suppression activities. Complete turnkey ten (10) person Crew Carriers will be delivered to Boise, ID. FOB Destination. The vehicle chassis and package shall be designed for severe off ¿road use and constructed to handle the rough unimproved road conditions found throughout the United States. Contractor shall provide any additional technical and structural engineering required for a heavy wildland fire vehicle that is operated in conditions where road and environment place stresses much greater than those found on primary and secondary roads. The cab shall be configured as a two door conventional cab with seating for two personnel. The crew carrier body shall be designed to carry seven (7) persons. Access shall be from the rear of the body. Final inspection of the completed unit shall be performed by the Governments representative at the Contractors facility. New equipment only and all items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The apparatus shall be compliant with the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). North American Industry classification System (NAICS): 336211 Motor Vehicle Body Manufacturing. Product Supply code (PSC): 2320 Trucks and Truck Tractors, Wheeled. Set-Aside: Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE), and Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE). Respondents shall include the following information in there submissions: 1) Name of Company, 2) Company Address, 3) Duns and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), 4) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, 6) Point of Contact, 7) Brief Capabilities Statement of Company (Statements should describe recent and RELEVANT past performance, 8) Applicable information as it pertains to this announcement, to include but not limited to the following: specifications of the unit that meets exceeds the product identified above. All Businesses working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database and have a positive standing. The purpose of this market research is to survey prospective vendors in order to collect data, comments, and other information pertaining to this industry. Upon review of the responses to this sources sought notice, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) will determine if a set-aside is in their best interest. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for any information received from potential sources. All information submitted in response to this announcement is strictly voluntary. No feedback or evaluations will be provided regarding such submissions. The Government is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the respondent ¿s response. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. Responses are due no later than October 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. MT.
