- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ on behalf of the US Coast Guard intends to negotiate a firm fixed price single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, on a sole source basis, with Ballard Industries (Cage: 0H231), 11400 Airport Rd Ste 201, Everett, WA 98204-8782. The procurement requirement is to upgrade (5) Ruggedized Avionics Computers (RACs) to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) C 27J Aircraft. These Non-Developmental Item (NDI), commercially available, previously manufactured RAC will be installed in the first two USCG C-27J aircraft. Additionally, one (1) RAC will be installed in the Mission System Integration Lab (MSIL) and two (2) RACs will act as spares. The Ungraded Ruggedized Avionics Computers (RACs) will be comprised of the following: Part Number Description Qty Upgrade AB3810H2/MS0/PMC07L Mount to MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1553 (2M) 5 To AB3810H2/MS0/PMC07M Mount to MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1553 (4M) 5 Also included in these procurements will be associated system components, cabling, controller units, software, mounting hardware, engineering support, and logistics support for use within the United States Coast Guard (USCG) HC-27J fleet. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements". Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 14 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must include the company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, telecopy (fax) number, electronic mail (e-mail) address and company literature sufficient to determine the capability of this company to perform this effort.
