- The attached document is a working draft of the PWS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/Sources Sought The 409th CSB, Theater Contracting Center, located in Kaiserslautern, Germany is seeking information from interested parties for commercial trucking services. This RFI/Sources Sought is to identify interested parties capable of performing commercial trucking services. This requirement is for the United States Army ("Army") for commercial trucking services of military equipment in and around Germany, Poland, and Belgium. The Government is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors, but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information. All information provided shall become the property of the Army and will not be returned. Market Research Questionnaire The questions below will help us determine the most suitable approach to acquire the services identified in this RFI/Sources Sought: What are your capabilities for fulfilling our requirements? Are you drivers and trucks ADR-certified? What are you credentials and affiliations? What assets do you have (e.g. material handling equipment, cranes, containers)? What tie-down materials are available with the trucks? Are your drivers and trucks ADR-certified? What is your lead time to schedule operations? Where do you have offices? The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to the RFI/Sources Sought nor will the Government compensate respondents for any cost incurred in developing information for, participating in meetings with, or engaging in discussions with the Government. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Additionally, any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed and are NOT considered allowable direct charges to other contracts or tasking. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to receive a contract award. If not registered, register by going to the website at http://www.sam.gov. The solicitation for this acquisition will be released electronically and will be available only on the following Federal Business Opportunity website: http://www.fbo.gov. Responses should be provided in formats compatible with Microsoft Office 2013 for Windows. Receipt of RFI/Sources Sought will not be acknowledged and RFI/Sources Sought responses will not be returned.
