- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and commercial items found at FAR 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N0060418Q4001. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-95 and DFARS Publication Notice 20161222. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 811219 and the Small Business Standard is $20.5M. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. The Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: CLIN 0001 “ Assemble and install 4 SIMRAD radar systems by a SIMRAD certified installer on to 1 submarine located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and 3 submarines in Apra Harbor, Guam. See PWS for schedule and list of supplied items. The contractor shall assemble and connect cabling between SIMRAD MFD units, 4G radome antenna and ship ™s existing AIS unit. Assemble, manufacture and connect cable to interface provided SIMRAD system with ship ™s existing heading sensor through a Furuno AD100 converter or SIMRAD HS60 GPS compass sensor. Validate operation, train sailors on board each submarine in the use of the SIMRAD radar and complete warranty start date upon completion of installation in accordance with attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). QUANTITY AND UNIT OF ISSUE IS 1 GROUP. CLIN 0002 “ Travel to Guam and Hawaii for installation: Travel expenses shall be in accordance with the Joint Travel regulations (JTR) http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/travelreg.cfm. The Period of performance is detailed in sections 1.3 and 1.4 of the PWS. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control.
