Introduction/Description: The responses to this market survey will be used for information purposes only. This is not a screening information request for proposals of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred associated in preparation or in response to this market survey. Work includes (but is not limited to): 1.1 SCOPE OF WORK The work covered under this specification includes the installation of one Doppler Very High Frequency Omni directional Radio Range (DVOR) and the demolition of one conventional VOR shelter serving the Denver International Airport (DIA). Demolition of the existing site including identification, abatement and proper disposal of any hazardous materials as required. Work includes installation of new duct banks, hand holes, transformers and power racks, and site restoration. The existing facility is located in Denver, CO. The existing VOR will be replaced by a new Doppler VOR facility and elevated steel counterpoise. FAA Contractor shall perform any applicable plants work to convert the existing VOR to a Doppler VOR at Denver, CO. FAA shall provide the required steel for the counterpoise (GFM) and steel shelters (GFM). The counterpoise is designed to support the TACAN antenna fiberglass enclosure (tee pee), Doppler antennas, and provide a walking and working surface for technicians. The counterpoise is also designed with an OSHA compliant commercial stairway for access. The FAA will be responsible for all electronics design and installation. A CAI/partial JAI will be performed by FAA Engineering Services prior to turning over the system to FAA electronics for completion. Note: The contractor shall acknowledge, coordinate and adjust their construction schedules to meet the construction milestones of work complete by July 15th, 2018. The construction bid shall incorporate these construction constraints as a part of the overall bid. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials (except Government furnished), services, equipment, insurance, bonds, security notifications, licenses, permits, and fees in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements to complete the specified work. Any miscellaneous labor, equipment and/or materials not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of the work. The dimensions, measurements, and quantity of materials listed in this specification and on the construction drawings are estimated and are presented to give the contractor an idea of the total scope of work. The contractor is strongly encouraged to make a site visit to verify the existing conditions, quantities of materials, and amount of work required. Installation of the DVV (Mile High) DVOR Counterpoise Installation of the new DVV DVOR Shelter Installation Electrical Service, Telco Service Installation of the DVV TACAN Demolition of the VOR Shelter, Removal of Engine Generator TACAN and TACAN Monitor Equipment Installation of the TACAN monitor and VOR Monitor Complete Solicitation expected to be posted and/or distributed no later than November 24, 2017.
