Description
The National Park Service (NPS) has a requirement for the following project: Project Location: Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado Project Title: Replace Beaver Meadows Visitor Center HVAC ROMO 230407 NAICS: 238220 Estimated Range: $3,000,000 - $6,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: September 2018 - May 2019 If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) or an invitation to bid (IFB). There is no bid package, solicitation, specifications, or drawings available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought Announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you chose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (ROMO 230407), and your socioeconomic status: 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, or Small Business. You may follow-up two weeks after the announcement closes to check on the status of the project. The NPS is planning to issue the solicitation for this project as a competitive procurement. Your email capability information MUST be 6 pages or less and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. Provide a description of past projects, contract numbers, dollar amounts, time frame, duration, location, customer point of contact information including email and telephone (for example, contracting officers, project managers), and any other pertinent information. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your firms bonding levels per contract and total. Be sure to include your DUNS number on your documentation. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. Please refer to the current SBA rules regarding HUBZone firms, effective October 1, 2011. Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. Send your responses via email to: Patti_Auten@nps.gov Scope: The Beaver Meadows Visitor Center Heating, Ventilation and Air Condition (HVAC) project is intended to replace the HVAC and electrical systems and to install a new fire suppression system, all to update the currently outdated systems, improve the working and visiting environment, and provide fire protection for this National Historic Landmark (NHL). Constructed in 1965-66, the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center was designed by Taliesin Associates. This National Historic Landmark is considered one of the five most significant National Park Visitor Centers built during the nationwide "Mission 66" building program and incorporates architectural character born out of Frank Lloyd Wright's design sensibilities. It is the primary visitor center for the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as the park's primary administrative headquarters, and is used by over 400,000 visitors annually. The scope of this project includes: new fan coil units, forced air system and dedicated outdoor air supply, new electrical/data system which will utilize and update current routing and update controls; new fire suppression system that will be concealed in the ceiling area; new fire alarm system, new emergency lighting, hazardous materials removal, most of which are materials not visible to the public and rodent exclusion. The design plans for minimal impact to the historic interior finishes. Employees and the visitor center will be temporally relocated for the duration of construction. The Beaver Meadows Visitor Center is an 18,260 square foot structure with 53% of the buildings square footage and 67% of the HVAC load being utilized by visitors.
