Notice Type: Sources Sought /Request for Information This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition for Cryosurgical Units. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. The notice is strictly for research and informational purposes only. All organizations with the capability and availability to perform the requirement under the applicable NAICS code are invited to submit a response to this notice. North American Classification System (NAICS) CODE: 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing The Strategic Acquisition Center has identified Brymill brand name or equal Cryosurgical Units as a candidate for a national contract. The purpose of the proposed acquisition would be to obtain user uniformity and quality products at lower-than-current contract prices. The intent of an acquisition would be to provide these items for use within the VA Medical Center for clinical use at VA facilities throughout the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Philippines, and Guam. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Cryosurgical Units - See Specifications on Attachment A. SPECIFIC RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Please submit your response in accordance with the following: Provide the name, email address, and phone number of the appropriate representative of your company. Include your company s size, DUNS #, Cage Code. Submit your response/questions via email to sonja.davis2@va.gov Submit your response NLT November 10, 2017 @ 3:00 PM EST Mark your response as Proprietary Information if the information is considered business sensitive INFORMATION REQUESTED FROM INDUSTRY - We request interested Contractors submit the following information: Does your company manufacture and/or distribute a full line of Cryosurgical Units? If so, please list the types your company offers. Indicate whether your company is the manufacturer or authorized distributor. If your company is not the manufacturer, is the manufacturer a US business? What country is the product manufactured in? If your company is not the manufacturer, is the manufacturer a small business? Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute the product? Under what standards (i.e. ANSI, ASME) is your product manufactured? What is the delivery time after receipt of an order? Are the specifications (see attachment) listed considered industry standard, proper terminology? Please identify any specification that seems unduly restrictive. Provide comments/answers for the technical specifications listed on the specifications attachment. Can you suggest any further standards or criteria VA should consider in a procurement action? Provide any other relative information. Identify any federal contract vehicles you currently hold that provide the listed equipment.
