Description
This Request for Information (RFI) is for information and planning purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Purpose of this Request for Information The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, Service Team #4 is seeking interested sources (contractors) for a near-future solicitation and procurement to provide all parts, materials, labor, and supervision for the replacement of three (3) Steam Station Relief Valves, four (4) 6 Gate Valves, and repairs to leaks on Steam Stations at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R., Detroit, MI 48201. Project Description: The Contractor shall provide all parts, materials, labor, supervision, for the replacement of three (3) Steam Station Relief Valves, four (4) 6 Gate Valves, and repairs to leaks on Steam Stations. The contractor shall provide the necessary replacement Steam Relief Valves, four (4) 6 Gate Valves and gasket materials to make proper repairs to the Steam Service Stations. The relief valves to be replaced are: one (1) 6 x 8 Relief Valve set at 90PSIG, one (1) 6 x 8 Relief Valve set at 60PSIG and one (1) 6 x 8 set at 30PSIG. Two (2) of the 6 Gate Valves have bypass, two (2) of the 6 Gate Valves without bypass. 1. Qualification: The contractor s employees shall have 3 years experience working on installation and removal of work described above. 2. Hours of Work: Work must be accomplished within an 8Hr. overnight window to be scheduled by the COR upon contractor notification of receipt of all material. 3. Safety: The contractor shall provide any personal protective equipment (PPE) their employees need to complete task. 4. Contractors Personnel Security Requirements; The Information Security Officer (ISO) requires that all contractor s employees working on the contract shall be required to take the VA privacy training prior to starting work. 5. The Government will provide access to any locations or equipment where contractor needs to perform work. The Government will turn off all steam and to bring all steam back online after repairs are finished. 6. Contractor is responsible to provide all materials and tools to perform the work being performed. All required materials must be on-hand within 30 days of contract award. 7. Contractor is responsibly to haul away all debris from project and clean work areas. 8. Contractor will test and check all newly installed valves. 9. Contractor is to provide the Government a 1 Year Warranty on all materials and labor performed. Because this is a RFI announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists. Therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, SDVOSB, VOSB or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto. Submittal Information: : All responses must include the following information: Company name, Duns number, Tax ID Number, company address, Point-of-Contact name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail. The subject line of the correspondence should clearly display the RFI number. Also please provide the following information in your response; Section 1: Provide a Statement of Interest in performing Steam Station Repairs at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R., Detroit, MI 48201. Section 2: Provide company name, DUNS number, company address, point-of-contact name, phone number, fax number and email address. Section 3: Provide GSA contract number, schedule, relevant Special Items Numbers (SINs) (if applicable) and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes utilized. Section 4: Provide company business size and status (i.e., Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-Owned Small Business, HubZone Small Business, etc.), the number of years in business, affiliate information: parent company and potential teaming partners. Section 5: Provide the type of work your company has performed in the past in support of the same or similar requirements. It is requested that interested contractors submit an email response (electronic submission) that addresses the above information. Be sure to include this RFI Number in the Subject Line of the email. Submissions (responses) shall be received by no later than 2 P.M., Eastern on 11/07/2017. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. Contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements should forward an e-mail to the primary point of contact listed below.
