- This is a Special Notice. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposals, request for quotes, or invitation for bid. This Special Notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of qualified small business concerns available to work in the Nashville Area of Responsibility which encompasses Suffolk County in the State of New York. Work involves construction of individual onsite wastewater treatment systems and water connections. This is not a solicitation for proposals and a contract will not be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. All responses shall be provided via e­mail to Melissa.Warmath@ihs.gov. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.2, the Indian Health Service is conducting market research and is issuing this Special Notice for a Small Business Industry Day. The event will include opening statements from the IHS Contracting Officer and Technical Representatives. Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to confer with the Contracting Officer (Division of Engineering Services) and Technical Staff (from the Nashville Area). Topics of discussion will include upcoming work requirements. Only small businesses with the following NAICS codes are welcome to attend: 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, 238910 Site Preparation Contractors, and 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. All interested small business concerns should bring their respective qualification/capabilities statement and be prepared to respond to various questions posed. The Government intends to award Multiple Award Construction IDIQ Contracts in support of the Nashville Area. The Conference will be held as follows: Date: Thursday, 14 December 2017 Time: 08:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) Location: Shinnecock Nation Community Center, 100 Church St, Southampton, NY 11968.
