- Sources Sought Notice This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only for the proposed contract work listed in the requirements section below. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Plans and specifications are not available at this time. Responses to this Sources Sought must be received by email or fax no later than the date specified in the response section. This intent of this sources sought is for solicitation refinement and market research on qualified bridge subcontractors with sufficient capability to perform all or a portion of the requirements below.. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company has the capability and experience to compete for this acquisition. Requirement: The proposed contract action is for a firm-fixed-priced task order construction contract ordered from our Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Park MATOC. The project contains two major bridge portions: • Pelican Creek Bridge replacement: 1,483 foot, 9 span weathering steel girder superstructure with cast in place concrete deck, deep foundation (open ended steel pipe piles), structural steel fabrication/erection, structural concrete, reinforcing steel, bridge rail. The work includes the removal of the Existing Bridge and road embankment material of the causeway. • Fishing Bridge Rehabilitation: removal of asphalt wearing surface, install Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) bridge deck panels, excavate and backfill west approach with Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil (GRS), repair abutment, and install FRP jackets on timber piles. NAICS Code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction apply to this procurement with a size standard of $36.5 million. Estimated Price Range: More than $20 million. Include contract numbers, titles, locations, dollar amounts. In addition, answer the five questions below: • Within the past 5 years, have you successfully completed 1 cast-in- place concrete deck with 5 or more individual concrete pours?. • Within the past 5 years, have you successfully completed 1 or more projects where driving of steel pipe piles was greater than or equal to 30" diameter, a minimum of 60' in length, and with at least one splice? • Within the past 6 years, have you successfully installed and worked from a work bridge over wetlands/rivers or other environmentally sensitive areas? • Within the past 6 years, have you successfully completed 1 vehicular bridge 750' or longer with span lengths greater than 150' and the superstructure consisted of steel girders with a cast in place deck? • Within the past 6 years, have you successfully completed 1 bridge construction project with 250 CY of concrete, where the concrete supply was 60 miles or more from the concrete batch location or where a running mobile concrete batch plant was at the project site? The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
