Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build VISN 23 RF Room Upgrades Site Prep project. This work will be at the following locations in VISN 23: St. Cloud VAMC, Iowa City VAMC, Omaha VAMC, Grand Island VAMC and Lincoln VAMC. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall completely prepare site for high-tech RF system equipment installation, including demolition and removal of existing structures (existing RF system will be removed by Siemens and is not part of this contract). Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to perform remodel work for installation of a new Siemens RF system per VA specifications and as required by drawings and specifications provided by the A/E. Work includes general construction, alterations, architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, room finishes and casework, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items, as required. The following locations are included: St. Cloud, MN - Building 1, Room 33. Iowa City, IA Building 1, Rooms 2W172, 2W173, and 2W174, as well as adjacent toilet rooms. Omaha, NE Building 1, Room 2562. Lincoln, NE Building 1, Room 140. Grand Island, NE Building 1, Room SW204 ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 17, 2017. The period of performance is approximately 200 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to donald.marsh2@va.gov.
