Description
In accordance with FAR 15.201 - Exchanges with Industry Before Receipt of Proposals. The Bureau of Reclamation will be holding a one day conference to exchange information with industry in order to develop a mutual understanding of the Governments need to replace the low voltage distribution system and to encourage maximum competition with a follow on Solicitation that will be issued at a later date. SPECIAL NOTICE INDUSTRY CONFERENCE CANYON FERRY DAM, HELENA, MONTANA NOVEMBER 16, 2017 In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.201 – Exchanges with Industry Before Receipt of Proposals, the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region will be holding an industry conference to discuss a future construction project: “Canyon Ferry Electrical Low Voltage Distribution System Replacement”, located at the Canyon Ferry Dam, approximately 17 miles east of Helena, Montana. The conference will be held on November 16, 2017, at 9:00 am (Mountain Time zone) and will last from 0900 – 1600 hours with a 30 minute lunch break. Those attending are encouraged to bring a lunch as there are no eating establishments close by. The scope of the project replaces low-voltage alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) circuit breakers, automatic and manual transfer switches, safety switches, cutout switches, electrical panels and conduit. It includes the replacement of low-voltage conductors, some of which contain an asbestos coating. The intent of the conference is for industry and Reclamation to develop a mutual understanding of the project scope and magnitude in order to facilitate interest from industry to compete for this project. The initial part of the conference will be to discuss the scope of the project and specifications. A tour of the facility will follow so industry will have visual verification to the relationship with the specifications. Those that plan to attend will need to respond to the Contracting Officer, Paris Everson via email at peverson@usbr.gov no later than November 14, 2017. Also, attendees will be required to have hard hats, safety glasses and safety toe shoes.
