Description
This synopsis is to inform industry that the Government intends to modify contract W56KGY-16-D-0035 to increase the maximum contract ceiling from $305,738,346 by $233,334,787 to $539,073,133. The contract was awarded to Bravura Information Technology, Inc. on 01 August 2016 and provides engineering/technical, logistics, and operations support to the Persistent Surveillance Systems - Tethered. The Government intends to modify this contract pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements to the current prime contractor. Due to the nature of this work, the Government's mission cannot afford for a competition and potential transition to a new contractor. This action also supports the procurement of crucial spares in support to the Army's CENTCOM mission. Any disruption or break in service at this time will diminish battle space awareness necessary to prevent loss of life and serious injury for US and coalition forces in the U.S. Central Command. While other companies have the required expertise and experience, only the current contractor has the required resources in place and would not require any transition time to fulfill the Government's current immediate need. The Government projects to award this modification in December 2017. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for proposal. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
