We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following equipment per the description of item(s) below for the W. G. Bill Hefner Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury NC 28144: DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS: (1 Each) 2-inch-thick Lead- Lined 17.4 L x 17 W (inches) Storage Safe for Nuclear Medicine PET radiopharmaceuticals. MFR Part No. 244-06 Manufacturer: Biodex Medical Weight: 1050 lbs. Suitable shielding, usually lead, should be sufficient to keep the dosage rates outside the store below 7.5 Svh -1 and, if reasonably practicable, below 2.5 Svh -1.2 for the Biomed Department. Ideal for storing large quantities of high-activity radioisotope. Shielded with a thickness of 2 lead, the safe is encased in a powder-coated steel jacket and features an adjustable shelf. Lead-lined door is hung w/heavy duty non-sagging hinges and is key-locked to prevent unauthorized access. All interested parties should respond, in writing via email to nicole.stewart3@va.gov.
