Description
Amendment SF30 AMENDMENT: A) As a result of this amendment, the proposal due-date is hereby changed from Monday, November 27 at 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time to Wednesday, November 29 at 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time B) As a result of this amendment, the solicitation shall now read as follows: DE-ICING-The contractor shall use environmentally friendly de-icing products that will not damage concrete or metal and will help protect the environment. The de-icing product shall be used on all roadways, parking lots, concrete entrances, walkways and steps, to prevent ice build-ups. This also applies to all sand/de-icing mixtures. The proposed de-icing product shall be submitted to the COR for written approval prior to purchase and use. Conventional granule application is anticipated no liquid application techniques are anticipated. Preferred de-icing products are shown on the USDA Biopreferred: website: http://www.catalog.biopreferred.gov/bioPreferredCatalog/faces/jsp/catalogLanding.jsp;jsessionid=9872104A2127E2EE5B54F9693C20303F C) As a result of this amendment, the solicitation, which had stipulated DE-ICING SPECIFICATIONS: The contractor shall use environmentally friendly de-icing products that will not damage concrete or metal and will help protect the environment. This de-icing product shall be used on all roadways, parking lots, concrete entrances, walkways and steps, to prevent ice build-ups. This also applies to all sand/de-icing mixtures. All chemicals used shall comply with Federal specifications, local codes and be approved by the COR prior to the first inclement weather event. Use only products with a chemical composition of inorganic salt, with organic based performance enhancers. No sodium chloride or calcium chloride salt shall be used due to environmental risk. Less disruptive chemicals: magnesium chloride, potassium acetate, and potassium chloride are recommended. The proposed de-icing product shall be submitted to the COR for written approval prior to purchase and use IS REMOVED IN ITS ENTIRETY. D) All other terms and conditions remain in full force and effect.
