- DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit for a "short term" long term indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for a period of 3 years (2 base years and 1 one year option period) for the following items: NSN 1HZ 7220-01-437-9576, TILE, RUBBER, P/N PSA-APPLICATION 3R-0400-HPSA NSN 1HZ 7220-01-437-9590, TILE, RUBBER, P/N PSA-APPLICATION 3R-0450 HPSA NSN 1HZ 7220-01-437-9632, TILE, RUBBER, P/N PSA-APPLICATION 7338389-3 NSN 1HZ 7220-01-501-5592, TILE, RUBBER, P/N 7338390-1 NSN 1HZ 7220-01-501-5596, TILE, RUBBER, P/N 7337390-2 NSN 1HM 7220-01-501-5599, TILE, RUBBER, P/N 7338390-3 NSN 1HM 7220-01-464-5007, TILE, RUBBER, P/N 7338390-4 NSN 1HS 2090-01-224-4910, FAIRING STRIP, P/N 5808331 TYPE AD-79M NSN 1HS 2090-01-224-4912, TILE, P/N 5808278-AD-79M SHAPE B NSN 1HS 2090-01-224-4913, TILE, P/N 5808277 TILE, TYPE AA-18 NSN 1HS 2090-01-224-4914, TILE, P/N 5808278 TILE AD-79M SHAPE A The current approved source of supply for all items is Westland Technologies (Cage 0SX38). *SOURCE APPROVAL* INTERESTED VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN SOURCE APPROVAL PRIOR TO ANY OFFERS BEING CONSIDERED. Due to the time frame required to become an approved source of supply, which can typically take up to 2 years, this requirement will be satisfied considering only offers from currently approved sources. This effort is being pursued to provide supply support for these items while DLA also pursues the process of trying to qualify additional sources for future requirements. If any additional interested sources can obtain the required approval and submit an offer in time to meet the closing date for the solicitation, offers if determined responsive will be considered as well. The closing date for the solicitation is estimated to be approximately 90 days after the closing date of this sources sought notice. If this happens, multiple awards could be made to each offeror submitting the lowest price for each specific item. Interest from any sources capable of obtaining the required approvals in time to meet the solicitation closing deadline can request a copy of the market survey which is required to be submitted by 5:00 pm EST on 8 Dec 2017. Requests should be sent to Amy.Puchalsky@dla.mil referencing solicitation number SPRMM118RHA19. In an effort to enhance competition for these items to cover future demand, DLA Mechanicsburg is also planning to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference to inform any interested parties of the process required to become an approved source of supply and to address any questions regarding this process. The conference will be held via telephone call in sometime in January 2018. A notice providing more specific details of the conference will be posted to FedBizOpps once a firm date has been established and any interested sources will be instructed to notify the Contract Specialist prior to the conference date to express your interest. Those vendors that have notified the Contract Specialist of their interest will be included on the conference invite and provided with a call in number to participate in the conference. The approval process includes obtaining a facility clearance and providing a form, fit and functionally compatible item to the engineering activity for testing and approval. More specific details of the approval process, the scheduled date for the conference and a standard guideline of what requirements a contractor needs to meet in order to seek/obtain approval will be specified in the notice regarding the Pre-Solicitation Conference.
