- Ocean View Channel Rehabilitation, Orange County, CA The intent of this contract is to procure construction services for the repair of Ocean View Channel, Orange County, California. The Ocean View Channel Rehabilitation construction requires the contractor to construct a 2200 foot reinforced concrete trapezoidal channel that will line the existing earthen channel. Key tasks associated with this construction include surveying the channel to establish horizontal and vertical control and calculating earthwork quantities, conducting dewatering operations, conducting earthwork operations and site preparation, installing steel rebar and placing concrete along the walls and invert of the channel, paving the access road, and mobilization/demobilization operations. The contractor must provide Quality Control, and execute project management activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and with acceptable quality control while adhering to all US Army Corps of Engineers safety requirements. Location of this work is Orange County, CA The estimated construction range: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 Estimated duration of the project: 180 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed The proposed contract will be awarded using the sealed bidding process in accordance with FAR Part 14. Proposed award to be made to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the terms of the invitation for bids and is most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price related factors included in the invitation. This procurement is Unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code used for this procurement is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction TENTATIVE DATES FOR SOLICITATION ISSUANCE IS DEC 14, 2017, with BIDS DUE ON OR ABOUT JAN 23, 2018, 1:00PM. It is anticipated the resultant contract will be awarded within 30 calendar days from the date of the receipt of bids. The Invitation for Bids/Plans and Specifications will be available only at the FedBizOpps (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov.
