Description
Universal Maintenance Stand Performance Specifications Sources Sought Synopsis and Contractor Capability Survey Market Research Questionnaire/Sources Sought Synopsis Universal Maintenance Stand (UMS) (NSN 1730-01-557-4560RN), PN 200918777) PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production of UMS NSN: 1730-01-557-4560RN for USAF flightline personnel. This is a build to print acquisition strategy with a fixed quantity to support C-17 activation locations within the Continental United States. The projected quantities will be for a total of 10 ea, with a monthly production in accordance with best commercial practices. The UMS is aircraft ground support equipment which is utilized on the flightline to assist maintenance personnel access to multiple aircraft in order to complete a variety of maintenance tasks. The UMS maintenance platform is a scissor type, consisting of four hydraulically operated, caster stabilizers mounted at each corner of the chassis. It has an elevated platform height (extended) is 36.5 feet; workload capacity is 2,000lbs. Driving and steering are provided by a variable displacement drive pump and a fixed displacement lift and steering pump driven by a 20-horspower diesel engine. Item is mounted on a four wheel chassis with four outrigger stabilizers. The UMS utilizes two sources of power Diesel Engine (PN 372-4117) and Battery Tray Power Assembly (PN 200919615).
