Description

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to exercise an option with Harris Corporation (28527), Clifton, NJ for the repair of 8 various Weapons Replacement Assemblies (WRAs). The intention of this notice is to exercise an option on the Indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) long term contract (LTC). This option will include the repair of the items identified in attachment A. The government intends to contract on a sole source basis with Harris Corporation. Harris Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only known source for providing repair support of these WRAs. This procurement is being processed in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The applicable NAICS code is 334511. This requirement will be exercised in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to exercise with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, quotations or capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses to this notice of intent shall be submitted no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis to NAVSUP WSS Philadelphia, Attn: Noreen McDonough, Contract Specialist, Code (N762.03), 700 Robbins Ave, Bldg 1, Philadelphia, PA 19111. The option will be exercised to Harris Corporation on or after 15 DEC 2017.
