Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought publication only. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a proposal in response to this notice. This notice is to assist the VA in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center is planning a project to correct system water leaks throughout the hospital, correct infection control issues and improving water efficiency of all water using and/or plumbing devices in the main hospital building (#1) at the Cincinnati VAMC. This project will install a manufacturer approved, NSF (National Sanitation Foundation)/ANSI (American National Standards Institute) 61 certified secondary water treatment system which shall consist of the following components: (1) Monochloramine generator capable of 800 grams per hour maximum production to serve domestic cold water system. (1) Monochloramine generator capable of 150 grams per hour maximum production to serve domestic hot water system. (2) 165 gallon, double wall, polyethylene storage tanks with threaded lid, and integral pump shelf. Hot tap magmeter flow sensors with operating range 0.05 to 10 m/s (0.15 to 33 ft/s). ANSI/AWWA (American Water Works Association) Standard C701 certified compound-type water meters with electronic register including: fully programmable pulse output frequency, integral data logging capability, integral resettable accuracy testing feature, large, easy-to-read LCD display, and 10-year battery life. NSF/ANSI 61 certified reagents to generate monochloramine. (20) Monitoring panel and data log capable of direct sensor measurements of pH, oxidant residual potential, conductivity, pressure, temperature, and capable of integrating with the building s energy management system. Additionally, this project will study and address dead legs and scald gard protection and continuous monitoring throughout both facilities. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH is seeking manufactures of a monochloramine system at 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
