- Description
- The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. (EPRI). This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation for offers. The acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i) "Soliciting from a Single Source." The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this order is 511210 (Software Publishers). The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain membership in EPRI's exclusive Risk and Reliability User Group and Domestic Licensing Agreement for use of two software suites (FTREX and IRT/CAFTA) developed and copyrighted by EPRI. EPRI is the sole provider of FTREX amd IRT/CAFTA, which the NRC must have in order to review risk assessments developed by licensees using other EPRI software suites. This posting will remain available for 15 days, in accordance with FAR 5.203. A final determination not to award this proposed procurement based on responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government.
