- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to issue a Solicitation for a re-compete of the post-wide paving, drainage, and civil works contract requirement at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The total value of this requirement for the base and four (4) option years is estimated to be $40-$60 million. The Government intends to require bonding capability of approximately $10M per year. The requirement will be solicited as a competitive 8(a) set-aside in accordance with the authorities granted by the Small Business Administration and FAR Part 19. All qualified 8(a) small businesses shall be registered under the Dynamic Small Business Search Engine located at http://dsbs.sba.gov/dsbs/search/dsp_dsbs.cfm. The Government intends to award a single Indefinite Delivery requirements-type contract with task orders issued on a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) basis through the ordering period of the contract. See FAR Part 16.503 for additional information on requirements contracts. The solicitation will include a base year ordering period, plus four (4) one-year options. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 15, 2018 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation number is W56ZTN-18-R-0002; hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Potential offerors must monitor FedBizOpps for the solicitation release and all subsequent amendments. After the issuance of the solicitation, the Government intends to hold a site visit at APG for prospective offerors. The site visit time, date, and instructions for attendance will be announced by the issuance of an Amendment to the solicitation. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 237310 - Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction; and the size standard is $36.5 million. The Statement of Work, applicable specifications, and evaluation criteria will be included in the solicitation or as an attachment to it. The Government may release draft documents prior to the release of the solicitation at its discretion. All qualified, 8(a) certified companies are invited to submit proposals which will be considered by ACC- APG. All technical data required to respond to the solicitation will be furnished as part of the solicitation. Important Notice: Offerors are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Offerors must be registered under the NAICS code 237310. Registration in the SAM database can be accomplished at the website http:// https://www.sam.gov. This is NOT the actual solicitation. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. Any questions submitted will be answered via Amendment, after the formal solicitation is issued.
