- Sources Sought Notice Market Research for Marine Corps Rapid Capabilities Office: Small Unit Weapon System Surveillance Attachment and Display System This is a Request for Information (RFI) via a Sources Sought Synopsis. The Marine Corps Rapid Capability Office (MCRCO) is seeking information from potential, responsible sources that have technologies which can attach to an individual weapon system and provide real-time streaming video to local and distant display devices. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals or the existence of a firm requirement. Submission of any information in response to this market research is purely voluntary and the Government assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred. Issuance of this RFI will not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a solicitation, other announcement, contract award, or agreement. No feedback may be provided to companies regarding their capability submissions. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as proprietary. Objective: The MCRCO is seeking technologies that increase individual and small unit situational awareness through the use of multi-media sensors to pass video, picture, and/or text with other personnel and units within close proximity. The technology sought should be attachable to existing USMC individual weapon systems or able to be integrated into existing attachments such as scopes. Technologies must allow the captured information to be transmitted through radio-frequency communications and be displayed to other individuals or units using an additional portable device. Existing federal labs, educational institutions, and state and local entities are also encouraged to respond if you have an existing knowledge or capabilities that may meet the desired solution in this sources sought. Interested parties are invited to provide the following information: 1. Company Information a. Name, Address and Point of Contact information b. DUNS and CAGE Code c. Business size and type (large, small, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, minority owned, service disabled veteran owned, woman owned, 8(a), HUB Zone, or other type such as non-profit, federal lab, educational institution, state or local entity. ) d. Any available or existing contract vehicles including DOD, SEAPORT-e, NASA SEWP, GSA Federal Supply Schedule, PIA, or other existing federal contract vehicles. 2. Statement of capabilities a. Description of the current technology and how/where it is employed. b. Description of the technology as developmental, experimental, or commercially available. c. Any other information the respondent believes to be of value to the Government in evaluating current capabilities in supporting the potential requirement.
