Description
Redundant Network Path (HEMP SOW addition) document as described below. Added on December 20, 2017. CMAFS Redundant Steel Pipe Network Path The Redundant Network Path project is designed to make a totally diverse route for the "Steel Pipe" circuit. The new route will be totally diverse even inside the complex and will support MILSTAR/SDIN missions at CMAFS. The installation of approximately 1900 linear feet of 4" galvanized steel conduit with six inner ducts within the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station tunnel complex. Two parallel conduit runs shall be installed, both originating at the communications room in building 3301 and terminating in the existing manhole (3B) in the Central Access Tunnel. Corrective Action: A Fourth Steel Pipe node will be installed by in communications room 3101 to provide a mirrored/redundant equipment capability. Contractor will need to utilize the two parallel conduit runs so that manholes (3) and (3B) have identical data line runs to provide true redundancy into the CMAFS complex. Contractor will need to conduct a site survey to determine whether they have to put in a new fiber run; pull back from manhole (3) North Blast door to (3B) CE blast door, or splice existing fiber from south portal run and route through manhole 3B and up to room 3301. They will also have to identify equipment/nodes that will need to be installed in Tech Control and ensure equipment has the same capability in both locations.
