- This is a sources-sought announcement only for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information or reimburse any costs incurred in responding to this RFI. No solicitation is being issued at this time, the Government is seeking interested contractors for a contract or delivery order to provide and install miscellaneous furniture and furnishings at a hospital located in South Korea. The hospital facility will consist of a single multistory building housing the Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC) and 67-bed (40 MED/SURG, 6 ICU, 15 Inpatient Behavioral Health, 6 LDR) Hospital, totaling 418,572 square feet, an adjacent parking structure, and a Central Utility Plant (CUP). The MED 020 facility will serve approximately 65,000 beneficiaries. The estimated dollar value of this action is $5,000,000.00+. The anticipated delivery timeframe is November 2018. The required furniture includes, but is not limited to, lounge and waiting room seating, behavioral health furniture, lamps, side and occasional tables, dining room furniture, chapel furniture and accessories, storage, armoires and wardrobes, executive seating, bassinets, fetal monitor carts, physicians stools, patient chairs, patient recliners, rocking chairs, sleeper sofas, children's furniture, training tables, upholstered side seating, outdoor tables and chairs, recycling containers, wood desking, conference rooms tables and chairs, residents beds, overbed tables, magazine racks, clocks, trashcans, and display cases. The selected contractor will be responsible for (1) specifying furnishings and equipment on a brand-name or equal basis; (2) conducting site visits to take final measurements; (3) developing a final work plan showing the locations of all products; (4) ordering all products from all vendors; (5) receiving, consolidating and shipping all products overseas; (6) installation of all products; (7) and all general project management, communication, and oversite required. The contract will be issued on a competitive basis. An RFQ for this action will be issued to interested parties early spring of 2018. Firms that are interested in competing for this contract should provide a brief statement of capabilities, to include ability to partner with vendors under Contractor Teaming Agreements, ability to conduct overseas site visits, ability to prepare work plans and drawings, experience in delivery and installation of furnishings and equipment in South Korea, experience in delivery and installation of furniture and furnishings in medical facilities, and ability to successfully manage projects of this size and scope. The capabilities statement should be no longer than 5 pages.
