Agency: Department of the Air Force Office: Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Location: Hanscom AFB HBAK Product Code: 6660 - Meteorological Instruments and Apparatus NAICS: 334519 - Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing Description: United States Air Force Weather Capabilities Roadmap This posting constitutes a Special Notice by the Air Force Materiel Command, Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Battle Management Directorate, Aerospace Management Systems Division, Weather Branch, AFLCMC/HBAW, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731, which intends to hold town hall meetings at the American Meteorological Society (AMS) conference for market research purposes. The USAF Weather Systems Program Office (AFLCMC/HBAW) will hold a town hall discussion during the 98th AMS Annual Meeting on Tuesday, 9 January 2018 in Austin, TX 5:30 PM-7:00 PM, Room 18B at the Austin Convention Center. The Weather Systems Branch will present a systems roadmap for USAF weather capabilities and programs to interested industry, academia, and government research organizations, as part of general market research and awareness outreach. Addressed will be likely research and procurement opportunities of weather systems with meteorological in-situ and remote sensing, modeling and high-performance computing, large-scale processing and dissemination, and forecaster applications. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and no RFP will be issued based upon this Special Notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this Special Notice nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to AFLCMC/HBAW.
