- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The National Park Service, Midwest Region Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), intends to issue a solicitation for the construction of two portable water wells at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The Work consists of the following: The drilling, development, and testing of the well, proper placement of pipe, hooking up the existing well and the new well in a way that either one can be operated at any given time, proper cleaning and restoration of the site upon completion of the work. Samples of materials drilled shall be collected and a driller's log shall be maintained. This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside and is open to all responsible Small Business sources. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price NAICS 237110(Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction).The small business standard is $36.5M. In accordance with FAR 36.204(b) the Project Magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. One (1) firm-fixed price contract will be awarded on a best value basis. Contract Period of Performance: Estimated at 30 days SITE VISIT: Site Visit information will be in the posted solicitation. The Government will award one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about January 12, 2018 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (https://www.fbo.gov/). This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. In order to be awarded a contract an offeror must have a DUNS number, be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
