Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business and Small Businesses that can provide a hot water system treatment with a single point injection and monitoring to reduce the risk of waterborne pathogens in building water systems and sustain potable water quality for VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 9082. There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 221310 Water Treatment and Distribution with a Small Business size of $20.5 million. NOTE: Please ensure that SAM indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. Only firms interested and capable should send their information and capability statement and any questions by email to monica.griffin@va.gov no later than 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, January 4, 2018. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Written responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Fedbizopps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors shall respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracting Office, is seeking sources for a potential contract (base plus four option years) for the following specifications: Service to set up a Next Generation Controller (NGC) System at five (5) locations: Bldg. 126 Bldgs. 128 & 133 Bldg. 150 Bldg. 164 Bldg. 166 The equipment package shall include the following: (5) complete electrolytic sodium hypochlorite generator system. (5) Next generation controller for secondary disinfection systems. (5) Stainless steel 1 cu. Ft. sample cooler for hot sample water to (NGC). The system shall consist of an electrochemical cell for conversion of brine (sodium chloride salt solution) to produce a dilute sodium Hypochlorite bleach solution. The system shall include a compatible chemical dosing pump, continuous control and monitoring of oxidant levels and miscellaneous piping, injection corporation stop, tubing, etc. for form a complete sodium hypochlorite addition system. The (NGC) system shall be a pre-assembled unit comprised of an oxidant sensor with pH monitoring, flow switch and a controller mounted on a ready to install panel. Install miscellaneous piping and fittings on the panel to ensure proper water flow through for the chlorine sensor and flow switch as well as providing a sample port for sensor calibration. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced later. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
