Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFP or RFQ in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Joint Staff is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party s expense. The Joint Staff Innovation Group (JSIG) located in the Pentagon, Washington D.C. is seeking information from interested contractors capable of providing technically innovative solutions enabling new logistics concepts to address hard problems to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. More specifically, these hard problems are 1) Battle damage assessment and repair of forward deployed forces; 2) Provide operational responsive strategic airlift and shipping into a contested theater; and 3) Conduct casualty evacuation. Further clarification on the scope of the hard problems can be obtained from either of the JSIG POC s identified below. It is requested that interested, capable parties respond to this posting directly to the JSIG POCs Fred Gregory (Frederick.d.gregory.civ@mail.mil) or LTC Jim Armstrong (james.e.armstrong.mil@mail.mil) no later than 12:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Responses from interested parties shall be no more than 2 pages in length and shall address the information specified in the enclosed attachment entitled, N00189JSIGRFI specifications.
