- Description
- The Contractor shall perform mission representative analysis and testing to identify and confirm the root cause of frequent T-45 VMTS Throttle Grip Assembly (PN 9020012200-1) Target Designate Control (TDC) switch failures in the T-45 VMTS Aircraft. The effort shall show the particular conditions for failure required to overstress the ball bond interface within the VMTS TDC electrical circuit. The contractor shall identify potential design change solutions to include aircraft and throttle grip hardware and software. After potential design solutions are evaluated and down-selected, the contractor will perform a proof of concept investigation in the Electronic Systems Integration Lab (ESIL). The Contractor shall provide a technical report detailing the analysis that confirms the root cause of the failures, provides recommendations for design changes and details proof of concept lab results in accordance with Contract Data Requirement List.
