- This is a Request for Information (RFI). The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is conducting market research and requests input from industry to assist in requirements planning for: Trauma Team Member Training Program. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain vendor capabilities and solicit industry comments. Employee Assistance Program is seeking information from firms that are capable of providing Trauma Training in support of the DEA Employee Assistance Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 611430 – Professional and Management Development Training with a size standard of $11,000,000. The scope of work required would consist of: Providing a training curriculum and training services for the EAP Trauma Team Members (TTM), Executive Staff, and other personnel for the DEA. he TTM Program is a law enforcement peer support program consisting of DEA Special Agents who provide outreach and support to DEA employees and family members who have been affected by organizational and personal traumatic events. The objectives of the program are: to minimize psychological trauma that employees and their families may experience throughout their career; and render assistance in an attempt to accelerate normal recovery to abnormal events, some of which are unique to a law enforcement environment. T he TTM Program requires that DEA Special Agents receive certification before they can be deployed to a traumatic incident to render support. TTM certification consists of 72 hour class hours taught by a licensed law enforcement mental health professional with expertise in crisis situations like hostage negotiation, crisis response, suicide prevention, death notification, combat stress and post- traumatic stress. Participants are trained in the skills proven to help others in crisis re-establish control and chart a path toward resolution. Basic training is designed to facilitate competence in five main areas: • Crisis Intervention • Attentive Listening • Psychological Trauma • Law Enforcement Stress • Crisis Response This is not a request for proposals and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. All responsible vendors, including small businesses are encouraged to respond to this RFI. The information requested herein will be used within the DEA to facilitate the decision making process and acquisition planning. The DEA will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. Unsolicited proposals or offers of any kind will not be considered in response to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Please note that participation in this RFI is optional, however may be beneficial. The Government reserves the right as to whether or not proposed comments are incorporated into the final Statement of Work (SOW) and solicitation. Interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement not more than five (5) pages in length that demonstrates the respondent’s ability to meet the requirement as specified herein. This is not a solicitation and proposals are not being requested at this time. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award. Responses will not be considered proposals. The DEA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested sources responding to this notice. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any, but may be beneficial.
