UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that Mr. Stuart A. Hazlett, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Procurement), and MG James E. Simpson, Commanding General, Army Contracting Command (ACC), will attend the 9 January 2018 ACC-ORL PALT session. Mr. Hazlett is responsible for over 270 Army contracting offices worldwide executing contracts in direct support of Army operational readiness, supporting major weapons systems, research and development, supplies and services, information technology, installation support, construction, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and operational contracting in support of deployed forces. Under his cognizance, the Army executes approximately 297,000 contracting actions with obligations over $74 billion annually. As Commander of ACC, MG Simpson enables Army readiness through global, expeditionary contracting support to warfighters engaged in military operations, weapon systems acquisition, life cycle management, sustainment and acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. The ACC workforce includes more than 6,000 military and civilian personnel at more than 100 locations worldwide. ACC awarded and managed more than 165,000 contract actions valued at more than $62 billion in fiscal year 2017. The ACC-ORL PALT session is scheduled for Tuesday, 9 January 2018 from 0900-1000 in Partnership III, Room 321, 3039 Technology Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826. A photo ID is required for sign-in on the day of the PALT session. There is no advance registration. Following the formal PALT session, Mr. Hazlett and MG Simpson will make themselves available to our industry partners from 1015-1130, in the same location, for a question and answer session. Reminder: the primary parking location for PALT attendees is the Visitors Lot located on the northeast corner of Science Drive and Technology Parkway. This is to ensure there is adequate parking for the University of Central Florida and Government personnel who work in the Partnership II and Partnership III buildings in the lots adjacent to these facilities. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Industry Stakeholders, In response to Industry's continued requests to improve communication between Army Contracting Command-Orlando (ACC-ORL), PEO STRI, and Industry stakeholders, the ACC-ORL Executive Director/Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC), Mr. Joseph A.
