Description
MARKET SURVEY/CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES FOR INSPECTORS TRAINING COURSES - #6973GH-18-M-00864. Base Year and up to 4 Option Years, if exercised. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. Aircraft Structures for Inspectors Training (FAA28451) for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Inspectors. If the low offeror is an accredited college, the FAA desires college credits be offered to trainees who successfully complete the proposed training. This is not a mandatory requirement and will not be used as an evaluation factor. The contractor is to provide Aircraft Structures for Inspectors Training to FAA Inspectors. This course is for manufacturing and airworthiness inspectors. Subject areas include forces and moments, stress analysis, aircraft structural design considerations, detrimental effects on aircraft structures, fasteners and fastening techniques, structural repair (including composites), inspection methods, and structural testing. The contractor may provide this training through their standard course offered to the public or other Government agencies or by submitting a course solely intended for FAA Inspectors. The FAA estimates this course to provide approximately 56 hours of instruction and class size should not exceed 16 students. The number of classes to be held will be determined by the Flight Standards Workforce Development, AFB-500 (formerly AFS-500) and/or Aircraft Certification Service “ Enterprise Operations Division, AIR-900 (formerly AIR-500). FAA formal training consists of training courses with agency level course numbers that will be officially recorded in the employee ™s personnel records. The tuition cost must be based on a per class basis. All travel and per diem costs will be the responsibility of the FAA. The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) is seeking interested sources that are capable of providing the required training. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program.
