Description
Museum Archives Renovation at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, WV. The National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) is an active training facility for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The NCTC site is a campus setting with multiple buildings, which include lodges, offices, training rooms, a large auditorium, a laboratory, dining facilities, gymnasium, operations support, etc. PROJECT SCOPE: This project consists of converting a second story structural steel framed fiberglass grate floor system to a concrete in-fill flooring system. Work will include demolition, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, elevated concrete construction, drywall, interior finishes, electrical, HVAC systems, HVAC controls, fire suppression modifications, and other general construction work. Additional specifications will be provided in the statement of work. Information on a site visit and instructions to obtain access to the site will be provided in the solicitation. PROPOSAL PERIOD: The request for proposal is scheduled for release on or about 22 January 2018. The proposals will be due on or about 21 February 2018. The anticipated award date is on or around 31 March 2018. PROPOSAL PROCEDURES: The acquisition will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Proposal (RFP) through FedBizOpps. The Lowest Price Technically Acceptable contracting method will be used to evaluate proposals. Evaluation criteria will be stated in the RFP. The Government may include options in the solicitation. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required. This acquisition will result in a single fixed price construction contract. Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering the evaluation factors included in the solicitation. This is an electronically issued acquisition. The Government will issue the RFP via FedBizOpps. Proposals will be received electronically by email only. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by this agency.
