- NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: Seat Stabilization Rocket Motor (SSRM) Assembly, Vernier Rocket Motor NSN 1377-01-255-0650ES, P/N 50436-11 (MT32) OR NSN 1377-01-318-1830ES, P/N 1340-1 (MD98) for use on the seat stabilization rocket motor on the F-15, B-1, B-2, A-10, F-16, and F22 Aircraft. The government does not possess the data necessary to manufacture this item and the item must be procured from the actual manufacturer. The device provides power to stabilize the ejection set during emergency aircrew escape. It counteracts forces which tend to pitch the seat during the rocket motor burn of the rocket catapult. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required.
