Description
Specs and Informational Drawings Solicitation The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the de-leading and repainting of the emergency service gate, located within the gate tower at the Surry Mountain Dam, in Surry, New Hampshire. Formal site visit scheduled: Jan 30, 2018 11am EST Alternate site visit date: Jan 31, 2018 at 11am if area has school closing Jan 30, 2018. Location: Surry Mountain Project Office 108 Surry Dam Road Surry, New Hampshire Point of Contact: Email quotes or questions to: Paige at Paige.C.Kimbrough-Rowan@usace.army.mil The NAICS code for this project is 238320 with a small business size standard of $15,000,000, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. In addition to examining the criteria in FAR 9.104-1, the Contracting Officer will also examine whether the low bidder can meet the requirements of the following Definitive Responsibility Criterion. The apparent low bidder will be required to meet the following experience requirements: Contractor shall demonstrate qualifications by providing proof of current certification in the following standards promulgated by The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC): 1. SSPC QP 1, Standard Procedure for Evaluating Qualifications of Painting Contractors, (Field Application to Complex Industrial Structures), 1998 with Revisions 2012. 2. SSPC QP 2, Standard Procedure for Evaluating the Qualifications of Painting Contractors, (Removal of Hazardous Coatings from Industrial/Marine Steel Structures), 2009. The Contracting Officer will verify that the submitted project(s) meet the definitive responsibility criterion as part of the responsibility determination. Bidders are not required to submit documentation that demonstrates they have met this criterion at the time of bid. The Government will request such supporting documentation from the bidder anticipated to receive the award.
