PROJECT DESCRIPTION Buildings 829 is a barrack within the Presidio of Monterey (POM). The moisture barrier was perforated in many areas during original installation and rain has been leaking through the exterior stucco finish and into the insulation, causing mold on the insulation and interior of walls. Contractor shall remove existing stucco finish on all sides of the building and replace with a new 3-coat stucco system, all accent bands/motifs shall be re-installed to match original façade; an additional rigid exterior insulation of a minimum R-12 value installed over exterior applied glass mat reinforced gypsum sheathing; install new wall cavity fiberglass insulation R-19 on all sides of the buildings; and install new 5/8" glass mat or moisture/mold resistant gypsum wall board at interior of north/northwest and west facing walls.
