Description

The VAPHS P&LM is requesting award of a fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five year ordering period. Contract type was selected as the Government cannot adequately predict the exact number of reagents that will be needed in any given period of time. Award is to be made on an open market, unrestricted competitive basis. Said contract will provide the means for expeditious ordering and supply of antibodies, special stains, cell conditioners, and other associated histology reagents for use in conjunction with their existing Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Ventana histology staining platform (equipment) for the performance of, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (IHC/IHS) studies. These studies are used in the specific diagnosis of both common and rare tumors encountered in human tissues. Note that this procurement will allow competing offerors to offer histology reagents that are brand name or equal to the Roche/Ventana reagents currently in use by the VAPHS P&LM and will also allow offerors whose equal reagents are not compatible with the existing equipment to offer their own staining platform(s) for consideration.
