Notice of Intent Award to Sole Source Announcement No: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17 in San Antonio, hereby announces its intention to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for TempTrak wireless monitoring to Cooper-Atkins, a small business. The period of performance is from approximately January 10, 2018 to January 9, 2023 (with a base year and four one-year options) for a total duration of five years. Per FAR 5.2, this notice hereby acts as the required posting for this transaction. Should any company believe they can provide the same services, please respond with evidence that the company is able to provide the service by trained technicians, provide the original equipment manufacturer parts and have access to necessary passwords. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Such information received must be clear and convincing evidence that a sole source is not justifiable. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of information or any other costs incurred as a response to this announcement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing via email to christopher.perina@va.gov on or before January 10, 2018 by 10:00 AM CST. "This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government."
