Description

This acquisition will result in the award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for construction services. This will be a Two Phase Best Value Tradeoff Design-Build construction with FY2018 MILCON for project P-282 F/A 18 Avionics Repair Facility Replacement at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore, California. The project is a of an avionics repair facility. The facility will include clean room, generator test lab, work rooms, repair shops, material and production control, storage, loading dock, office, and administration areas. Other special features are noted below. Information systems include basic telephone, computer network, fiber optic, cable television, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), security and Intrusion Detection System and cameras, fire alarm systems, and infrastructure. This project will provide Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features and comply with AT/FP regulations, and physical security mitigation in accordance with DoD Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings. Equipment includes an overhead hoist, emergency generator, uninterruptable power systems, compressed air system, dedicated equipment cooling systems, and lab exhaust. High performance sustainable building requirements and Low Impact Development will be included. Special construction features include Intelligence Community Directive Number 705 (ICD 705) compliant spaces, electro-static discharge (ESD) protection, sound attenuation, clean room and generator test lab construction. Special foundation features include shallow special foundation system with ground improvement utilizing structural fill and a deep stone column system. Demolition includes the removal of a building (4,236 m2) containing asbestos and lead paint. Planned Modification 01: Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF and E) and Audio and Visual (AV). Option 0001: Provide Electronic Security Equipment.
