Title of Event : Next Generation Survival Radio (NGSR) Industry Day Audience : Members of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Industry Representatives When : 21 February 2018, 0800 - 1600 Where : Poe Conference Center, Building 1295, Hill Air Force Base, UT 84056 Abstract: The Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) Joint Program Office (JPO) is interested in meeting with industry representatives to answer questions and receive feedback regarding the potential replacement for the estimated 58,000 AN/PRQ-7/7A fielded across DoD. The Next Generation Survival Radio (NGSR), the AN/PRQ-7/7A replacement, is anticipated to be a Non-Developmental Item (NDI) that will meet National Security Agency (NSA) Communications Security (COMSEC) modernization requirements, including Suite B cryptography, and other CSEL operational requirements. High-Level Agenda : •· Report to Visitor Center at the South Gate •· Opening Remarks •· CSEL NGSR Overview •· Break •· One-on-One meetings (as requested) Objectives: •· Provide early engagement and communication to Industry •· Provide a forum to discuss program strategies •· Improve the quality of any future solicitation •· Identify vendors interested and capable of executing future workload Who Should Attend? Both large and small businesses are encourage to participate in this Industry Day event. For this initial Industry Day, the Government will permit a maximum of two (2) individuals per vendor to register and attend. Attendance at this event is not required for eligibility to bid on these requirements in a future solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be used for this procurement is 517311. Items for Discussion : To facilitate effective exchange, the Government requests questions in writing, prior to Industry Day. This will allow the Government to conduct research in advance of the one-on-one sessions and come prepared to answer your questions. Please submit your agenda topic recommendations and specific questions to both stephanie.rearick@us.af.mil and wendy.farley@us.af.mil. Answers may be limited as the Government is in the Market Research phase. The Government is not requesting capability statements or briefings at this time. One-on-one sessions will allow interested vendors the opportunity to openly communicate with the Government by providing comments and inputs for consideration during the development of the solicitation. One-on-one sessions will be no more than 30 minutes and discussion will focus on the NGSR requirements. Vendors will be able to submit product information at future Industry Day events. To ensure transparency, non-proprietary questions and answers will be recorded, sanitized, and placed on FedBizOpps. Please e-mail proposed topics and questions that you may have no later than 8 February 2018. Registration: Pre-registration is mandatory for attendance. Please submit the following information electronically to both stephanie.rearick@us.af.mil, and wendy.farley@us.af.mil no later than 5:00 PM MDT 8 February 2018 to pre-register. Information addressing Base access, directions, and individual session times will be provided to respondents. Do you wish to schedule a one-on-one session? Additional Information : Any submitted information may be used to structure future solicitations. Sensitive, proprietary, or otherwise confidential information must be marked appropriately in the response. Information received from respondents will not be shared with other vendors. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the market research. Response to this Industry Day is not required in order to respond to any future RFP that may possibly follow, but information gathered through this meeting may influence RFP development. Respondents are advised that data submitted to the Government in response to Industry Day may be released to non-Government advisors for review and analysis. If the respondent has any objections to a non-Government advisor having access to its response information, the respondent shall notify the Government immediately and provide grounds and justifications for its objections. This notification does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation, award a contract, or conduct an acquisition in any particular way. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement or incurred for participation in the Industry Day will NOT be reimbursed. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosure to non-Government personnel and entities. The acquisition strategy for the CSEL NGSR has not been finalized; this requirement is in the market research and planning phase. No solicitation or projected solicitation date is available at this time.
