Description

The United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with MTS Systems Corporation, 8606 East Windrose Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. The requirement is for maintenance of MTS load frames. MTS will adequately service all aspects of this equipment to include its timely repair or component replacement. The NAICS code is 811219. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Subpart 13.5 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. Written responses must be received by 23 January 2018 at 07:00 a.m. MST. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
